About the film

Gena, a confident ladies' man, decides that his cousin Pasha has been single long enough. He dresses him in fashionable clothes and teaches him a trick for meeting women in the street: walk up and ask, very seriously, 'Where is the nofelet?'

The question makes people stop and think, and that is all Gena needs. But Pasha does not want a quick romance. He is quietly in love with a woman he sees every morning on the bus, and he has never spoken to her.

Written by Anatoly Eyramdzhan, a master of small Soviet comedies, the film is gentle and funny, and it shows ordinary late-1980s Moscow life very clearly.
