About the film
In the Moscow of the 1920s a gang is carrying out bold, well-planned robberies. The detectives are sure they know who is behind them: a criminal called Grey, a regular at a tavern on Pyatnitskaya Street. But they cannot catch him in the act.
So the criminal police send two of their own men into the gang. One wrong word could give them away.
Written by detective novelist Nikolai Leonov, this is a classic Soviet crime film with tense undercover scenes and a great period atmosphere.
