About the film
Shurik is a student with glasses, good manners and terrible luck. In the first story he fights a huge bully on a construction site. In the second he studies for an exam with a girl so intently that neither notices the other.
In the third, a warehouse manager hires three crooks to fake a robbery and hide his own theft, and Shurik, working as a night watchman, gets in the way.
Leonid Gaidai's comic timing makes this one of the funniest Soviet films; many of its lines are still quoted every day.
